Essential Duties and Responsibilities
DUTIES REQUIRED BY LEVEL
Technician I: A basic entry-level support services position whose work routine is standardized and follows an established set of procedures. It generally functions under close supervisory direction or guidance.
Technician II: Assists assigned departmental staff with some diversification utilizing certain business/office procedures or precedents. This level must be capable of performing a wider variety of duties than the Technician I. Must be capable of working more or less independently and handling many varying tasks simultaneously.
Technician III: This level must be capable of performing at the full performance level and able to handle the vast majority of the complex duties required in a department. Incumbents must be able to prioritize their work assignments. This level requires specialized skills and a significant body of knowledge of the assigned area’s activities. This level works under only general or indirect supervision and requires moderate independent judgment. It also requires the ability to adapt to new work situations and make recommendations for improvements in the assigned work field.
Specialist: This level must be capable of performing the most complex administrative duties in support of assigned area. It is subject to critical schedules and deadline pressures and requires considerable independent judgment, and advanced work skills. It requires the ability to adapt to new work schedules and make recommendations for improvements in assigned work field.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Weather: Indoors - environmentally controlled; requires most or all work to be done inside.
Noise level: The noise level in the work environment is usually that of a standard office atmosphere.
Description of environment: Office building with standard office environment.
Physical requirements: Employee is required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.

Competencies
Language skills sufficient to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math skills sufficient to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Reasoning abilities sufficient to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
