Job Description

This position will work for NANA’s Shareholder Relations Department, contributing to high-quality shareholder relations projects. This role offers hands-on opportunities across several different projects involving meetings, events, and outreach. This position is designed to provide valuable skills and mentorship to foster growth and development.

  

Responsibilities

  • Special projects as assigned supporting various departments and shareholder related activities.
  • Coordinate event services, such as accommodation and transportation for participants, facilities, catering, signage, displays, and special needs requirements.
  • Arrange the availability of audio-visual equipment, transportation, displays, and other event needs.
  • Work under supervision to communicate with staff and supervisors for outreach of events.
  • Document and maintain meeting minutes.
  • Provide administrative support.
  • Maintain and organize files and documents to track data and information gathered.
  • Scan, copy, or print documents for special projects, documenting purposes, or records needs.
  • Make outgoing calls, as needed, to support the project.
  • Plan and coordinate logistics for events and special projects.
  • Other duties pertinent to the department or unit’s success may also be assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Must be a NANA shareholder. NANA shareholders own stock in NANA Regional Corporation, Inc.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be enrolled in college or a vocational school full-time and complete one semester of postsecondary education. 
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be organized and have administrative skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NANA’s vehicle insurance policy.
  • Must have been a 2025 NANA Shareholder Intern.

 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Weather: Indoors/Outdoors. Indoor: environmentally controlled; requires most or all work done inside. Outdoors: Frequently exposed to extreme weather conditions (wind and rain).

Noise level: Quiet when in an office setting, moderate to loud when visiting various job sites.

Description of environment: Office building with a standard office environment.

Physical requirements: Employee is required to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. occasionally. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.

Travel: Employees may travel up to 30% to Kotzebue and/or other remote locations and may be required to use alternative modes of transportation, including, but not limited to, snow machines, boats, small airplanes, and ATVs.

The position requires reading, detailed work, problem solving, interactions with other companies including other NANA companies, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, will require the employee in the position to manage multiple concurrent tasks, and handle constant interruptions.
