The External and Government Affairs Coordinator will work with and provide support to the External and Government Affairs team, as well as provide specific support to other departments on shared projects and initiatives. The Coordinator will be responsible for managing and facilitating a wide range of administrative activities. This includes scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and supporting various departmental initiatives. This position plays a critical role in facilitating effective coordination between internal departments and will assist with maintaining and leveraging strategic relationships with external stakeholders. The primary focus of these engagements will center on regional priorities, projects, and initiatives but may extend to state, federal, and international topic areas when appropriate. The applicant will require excellent organizational and communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.
This position may be based at NANA's Corporate Office in Kotzebue, AK, or remotely from any of the NANA villages within the NANA Region, subject to candidate qualifications and company approval.
Coordinator II - A high school education (or GED) and at least three years of directly related experience which shows having a working knowledge of the assigned function and an ability to work under general supervision. It may also require a proficient level of usage in a particular computer program.
Coordinator III - A high school education (or GED) and at least five years of directly related experience. Certain situations may require such advanced education requirements as an Associate of Arts or other similar formal certification equivalent. Certain positions may require proficient to advanced skill level in certain types of computer software or hardware programs.

Travel: Yes, 15%. Must be able to travel and work in both urban and non-urban areas using many different means of transportation. Incumbent must be able to work in less-than-ideal offices, facilities, or situations.
